Players in this league will have a variety of skill levels, all playing with a for-fun attitude. Players in this league prioritize safe play, making friends and having fun while shooting hoops. This is a no-contact, no-trashtalking, super sportsmanlike version of the game. Competitive players are strongly encouraged to sign up for refereed Basketball with FCSSC's sport partner, Summit Sports! (https://www.playwithsummit.ca/leagues)
This is a Hat League which means that teams will be made up each week, court side, just before game time. We aim to play 5v5 but will scale based on attendance. There are no league standings kept because it's not about winning. Hat leagues are a great way to ensure everyone who wants to play gets the chance to, while maximizing the opportunity for all league participants to meet one another and play together. Who knows, maybe someone you meet will become your new best mate or talented new teammate for next season!
