FCSSC is looking for energetic, engaging, and EXPERIENCED instructors to help lead our Rookies Only programming. We are currently gathering applications for instructors for Basketball, Pickleball, Soccer, Curling and Volleyball.

 

 

 

 

 

What is Rookies Only?

 

WHY are we running our Rookies Only programs?

  • To prepare and educated people so they feel confident enough to play in our rec leagues!
  • A great way to get active, make friends and have fun!

WHAT do our members get out the Rookies Only program?

  • Foundational skills for the sport
  • Basic knowledge of the game (scoring, rules, etc.)
  • An opportunity to put skills and knowledge into play with in-game experience!

HOW do we want instructors to interact with members?

  • Create a friendly, welcoming and inclusive environment
  • Positive, for-fun attitude with lots of encouragement
  • Flexible approach - ability to switch activities or flex level of difficulty up and down to accommodate a range of abilities

What Instructors Do:

  • Develop and implement group lessons for members that are in line with the Rookies Only program's goals
  • Create and maintain an environment where members are sure to have fun, be active and connect with new people
  • Ensure play spaces are safe and ready for play, including equipment setup and take down
  • Ensure FCSSC’s rules, safety protocols and conduct policies are enforced and put player safety first
  • Answer any questions members might have
  • Promote FCSSC's offers and activities, including partner deals and club events
  • Do what it takes to ensure a fantastic member experience

Who Instructors Are:

  • Fantastic connectors, able to create a sense of belonging and connection among members
  • Confident and fun individuals, with presence and positive energy
  • Loyal, reliable team players
  • Experienced coaches

Instructors must commit for an entire season of play (roughly four months each). FCSSC plays on weeknights between 6:00 and 10:00pm and Sundays usually between 2:00 and 6:00pm. Availability and preferences will be taken into account.

Instructors must have their own transportation to and from the league facilities.
